Did you turn off any anti-virus
and other burning applications which might access the CD/DVD units
at the same time?
Note 1: A lot of users reported problems with NAV on some
configurations. If you have MMC errors or more, please disable the
anti-virus software during the writing process.
Note 2: A lot of users reported problems with VIA and nVidia low
level drivers (i.e. IDE drivers). Sometimes Microsoft certified
drivers work better, and sometimes a new version of the drivers
from VIA/nVidia can help. Please post your problems on the forums
or contact us if you are unsure.
-
Are you using appropriate media
for your operation? (DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM) Each
format is different and can have a different behavior depending on
your system. The key to a good backup is to use good media. Check
if the media you are using is highly compatible with your hardware.
Check this link (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdwriters)
and http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers
to see what users think about the hardware and media you are using.
If you suddenly have problems with MMC errors, please try various
media before contacting us.
-
Did you check the surface of the
media? It is a stupid, but widespread mistake. Check if the media
to read and/or write is clean, scratch-less, not too transparent or
damaged. The quality of the surface can greatly influence the
overall backup process.
-
Did you let the system work
quietly during the process? If you don't have problems, you can
interact with your computer of course, but if you have any faulty
behaviour, please do not use your system during a read/write
operation!
-
Try a different unit. Even if you
have a reader and a writer, the backup quality highly depends on
the hardware. There are no rules about which is the best to use,
you will have to try for yourself. If you have a playback problem,
try to use your writer for reading first. Some units can be damn
slow compared to others. The best manufacturers depending on our
experience are Plextor, Lite-on (writers), LG (recent units), and
Sony (DVD writers). The most problematic drives are Toshiba, old
LG, Pioneer, TDK, and MSI. Of course it doesn't mean it will not
work if you are using an unlisted manufacturer or model. It just
means we don't know all the models and it depends on your own use
of our products.

ranges from 30 minutes to two hours. We recently performed a test
using a D9 DVD of Jumanji. The original disc held 6.92GB, and was
cloned to a target disc of 4.7GB. The total cloning time was 45

DVD cannot be played by Standalone Player (Hardware Player)? -Of
course, DVD was burned by our software can be played by Standalone
Player (Hardware Player). Please read follows if you meet problem
about this. -You may have to lower the
burning speed by selecting [Write Speed], we recommend you to
select a lower speed to make sure your disk can be played on some
old regular DVD player. Especially when you are using a DVDRW or
CDRW disk. Application automatically chooses the lowest speed to
make sure of this. You can change it higher, it depends on your DVD
player, DVD锟斤拷R/RW disk and your experience.
-Make sure you are using the right type of disc for your hardware
player. Some players will only read one of the formats (+ or -) but
both.
-Use high quality recordable DVD disc like Verbatim, CMC, Ritek,
Fuji, etc, avoid using cheap discs. Always refer to the DVD writer
manufacturer for the list of recommended discs for your DVD writer
drive.
-You may have to lower the burning speed. Many writers are not
compatible with cheap blanks. The quality of some blanks is
actually so bad, that the specified maximum speed cannot be
reached. Find a combination of writer, disc and player that work
together.
-Standalone DVD Player can play DVD, SVCD, VCD disk.
-Standalone VCD Player can play only VCD disk.
Standalone Player (Hardware Player) If you
play the DVD and the image jerks from time to time, check if the

you have used RW media, make sure that your player supports +/- RW
media. Some old player do not support the +R format.
Burning Problems -If the DVD is empty
after the burning process, we suggest that you first, reject and
re-insert DVD and check if it is really empty.
-There also might be problem with the quality of the blank disc.
Use another blank from another manufacturer or brand. Use high quality recordable DVD disc like
Verbatim, CMC, Ritek, Fuji, etc, avoid using cheap
discs.
The burning process aborted unexpectedly but the copy
process successfully completed, do I need to start it all over
again?
No, the copy process actually stored the DVD files in the
[Temporary Working Folder] you specified. To burn those DVD files
to the disk directly, please do as follows:
1. Choose [DVD Video Folder] in [Source DVD] option.
2. Set folder in [DVD Video
Folder] as the same as folder in [Temporary Working Folder].
3. Finally, click the [Start] button to start burning.
