Quality Management

Quality Settings: lets you choose a quality factor from 0.0 (bad quality) to 10.0 (excellent quality) for the encoding process. A value of 4.0 normally yields good results. The estimated approximate bitrate is shown to the right.

Bitrate Settings

Note: These modes are generally not recommended to use for normal encoding!

variable Bitrate: lets you specify a minimum and maximum bitrate the encoder takes as base for encoding.

average Bitrate: lets you specify a nominal bitrate. Target bitrate will always be approximately at the nominal bitrate.

constant Bitrate: lets you specify a constant bitrate that will be ensured in the whole stream.
